About

I’m a Software Engineer from Barranquilla, currently based in Berlin. I work across web, mobile, distributed systems, databases, and offline-first architectures.

I got into coding as a teenager after installing CrunchBang on a failing Windows XP PC.

I earned scholarships for a bachelor’s in Systems Engineering and a master’s in Data Assimilation. Along the way, I built everything from Ruby scrapers and Java/Kotlin mobile apps to JS retro games, Laravel/Rails REST APIs, and ML models, landing my first job with Node.js and React in my second year.

During my master’s, I researched high-performance computing on a 936-core cluster, applying data assimilation methods (EnKF, 3D-Var) to advance high-resolution WRF weather modeling.

I’ve worked with startups at various stages, from building MVPs to scaling systems handling over 3.5 million daily transactions (Getir 2023).

Outside of work, I blog, tend my digital garden, practice calisthenics, advocate for self-hosted software, and read occasionally.
